As a child, I spent many an afternoon fantasizing about the 'K Company' - a tech and innovation giant that would shake the world with its clean, sleek aesthetic, playfully boastful catchphrases, and a logo that was an amateur knockoff of Google. My childhood dream of becoming the owner of a large corporation (its main perk being a cool logo) would unexpectedly set me on the path to a lifelong passion for graphic design.

It began with logos, logos for myself. Through both digital and physical art I built my profile as a designer. I managed to take simply the letter K and with it create a plethora of designs and brands for a vast array of make-believe companies, corporations, and organizations. All of which I owned, of course, as well as flaunted to my fellow fourth-graders (often to the point of annoyance).

Logos for myself became logos for others. As the CEO of the K Company (now design company K Studios), I began a production line of logos, advertisements, flyers, YouTube intro animations, even customized name tags. Passion developed into hobby, hobby developed into skill. I received commissions for school clubs and organizations, making posters, informational graphics, and promotional posts on social media. I am the publicist for three clubs and have used my creativity to help several more. I created event promo videos for my church. I even had the winning design for a class pin which was mass-produced and sold to students at a school event.

Graphic design is my personal outlet of creativity. It lets my ideas develop and flow; I'm free to do whatever I want, however I want to. It gives me the ability to turn the products of my imagination into reality, and that, I believe, is the essence of creativity. Each and every line, shape, and curve, every font I choose and every color I pick, is a decision I make, which stemmed from an idea; an idea of my own. That is what defines creativity, and I am keen on taking that into the future: the future of The K Company.
